Ewoks are one of the biggest “love them or hate them” divides in the Star Wars franchise. Labeled by some as the Jar Jar Binks of the original trilogy, they also inspire devotion from the many other people who loved their adorable antics in Return of the Jedi.
Conan O’Brien seems to fall into the first camp. When a group of Ewoks showed up in his studio this week, his immediate reaction was to call pest control.
“They say if you see one ewok, there are usually hundreds more you’re not seeing,” Conan said before introducing a guy in a boiler suit to smoke the Ewok “infestation” out of the rafters.
Yes, that’s right. Conan aired a sketch about murdering a bunch of cute, friendly Ewoks in cold blood. Although it does give us some insight into how the stormtroopers might have avoided a humiliating defeat on the forest moon of Endor. Perhaps they should have called pest control.
