Unless you grew up in Japan, you may not know that Bleach musicals are a pretty commonplace event.

But if you’re so hardcore on Bleach musicals that you’ve hunted down the fansubbed versions and watched them all, and you can’t get enough of singing along with Ichigo Kurosaki, you might want to check out these brand new pics of the cast for the newest installment, Rock Musical Bleach.

In typical Japanese fashion, a boy band member will lead the cast. Ichigo Kurosaki will be played by Akira Takano of J-pop band Dream5. Takano said in the announcement that he grew up watching the original Rock Musical Bleach and he hopes to bring his best to the performance.

Chihiro Kai will take on the role of Rukia Kuchiki, the woman who gives her power to Ichigo.

Actor Tsubasa Sakiyama, who was also in the Touken Ranbu Trial Performance musical, will play the role of Renji Abarai.

The musical’s official Twitter account includes several more announcements for the roles of Gin Ichimaru, Izuru Kira, and Retsu Unohana.

Rock Musical Bleach marks the 10th musical production of the popular anime with the first debuting in 2005. The story focuses on parts of the manga plotline from Soul Society arc and will be directed by Tatsuyuki Tsutsumi (Platinum Papers).

If you’re dying to see it, presale tickets go on sale for 7,800 yen on June 3 and then to everyone on June 26. It’s playing at both the AiiA 2.5 Theater in Tokyo (July 28-August 7) and the Kyoto Theater (August 24-28).
