Queer Porn TV is hardcore amateur porn for the girls and gays

Fans of hardcore lesbian or gay porn are sure to know Courtney Trouble, the queer performer, director, and creator of multiple sites––including Queer Porn TV. This particular site (which was co-founded by Tina Horn, creator and producer of the podcast Why Are People Into That?) quickly established itself as a safe space for queer performers and directors of all different backgrounds.

In an interview with both co-founders, something was said that I believe is still the driving force of this queer adult entertainment community. When asked if Queer Porn TV was a platform for the existing queer community to interact or if it is a catalyst for the blind-acceptance and normalization of all things queer, Tina replied: “Communities who are historically disenfranchised by society will thrive when they know and see a way they can proliferate, when they see their people being proud…it is almost our responsibility as San Francisco Queers to take what we have; which is the ability to walk down the street holding hands with our partners without fear of violence and hate, and use that to help Queer people who aren’t so fortunate.”

With the Queer Porn TV platform, not only have Trouble and Horn created truly amateur content with credible storylines, they’ve given the community resources to educate and celebrate queer in all its forms.

What is Queer Porn TV?

queer porn tv

Queer Porn TV is independently owned and hosts exclusive content produced by queer filmmakers and adult performers. The site was founded in 2010 as a way to creatively cultivate the queer community in San Francisco and share it with the world. Trouble and Horn call it an “open platform to invite people to come in and add to that definition of Queer with resources and perspectives that [we] might not have in San Francisco.”

The site’s openness has constructed truly unique and avant-garde adult entertainment. Unlike other ethical porn sites, Queer Porn TV doesn’t offer preferential treatment to one kink or community; instead, the cast experiments with it all. From BDSM to golden showers, and even sploshing scenes, this platform has reimagined sex positivity. Topics and acts that might have been largely frowned upon or considered exploitative have been reclaimed, and it has taught us that showing truly sex-positive films is all about giving the people having the sex the power of deciding where they want to take it.

Queer Porn TV cost

While the exclusive content on Queer Porn TV is available to purchase for instant download, becoming a VIP member will be your streaming meal ticket to the site’s “All You Can Eat Buffet of juicy voyeurism.”

There’s also an option to join the TROUBLEFILMS Fan Club and gain instant access to all of Courtney Trouble’s porn sites (QueerPorn.TV, TROUBLEFILMS, and IndiePornRevolution).

Queer Porn TV perks

A library of adult entertainment made for queers, by queers

Not only was founder Courtney Trouble credited with coining the phrase “queer porn,” but they also headed the DIY porn movement. Trouble’s influence isn’t only to be found on Queer Porn TV but other feminist porn sites and studios, too. The secret to Queer Porn TV’s success as an LGBTQ porn site is listening to the performers on set. Seriously, that’s it. Because of this, Queer Porn TV has nailed the amateur porn vibe by allowing performers to use their choice of camera and lighting and letting them decide the boundaries and limits of a film.

Access to LGBTQ+ community and education resources

Along with the help of women-owned Club SexU boutique Smitten Kitten, QPTV introduces a series of free “Queer How To” videos, produced by queers, for everyone. For those beginning to navigate the world of dildos, other sex toys, or even bondage, these in-depth videos can be very helpful tools to expand your knowledge.

Additionally, Queer Porn TV has slated a dedicated queer resources page for learning more about queer culture, history, sexuality from an educational perspective, finding queer-friendly businesses, a list of future festivals and events, art showcases, and so much more!

QPTV Free

One of the things I love about Queer Porn TV is the many notes from founder Courtney Trouble hidden throughout the site. When visiting the QPTV Free tab, you’ll see the personal message left behind by Trouble speaking on the need for queers to see themselves represented in porn. Even though they believe that consumers should pay for their porn, they stand by the belief that queer folks having access to queer porn is not a luxury, but a necessity. Because of this, Queer Porn TV has ( and continues to) put accessibility before profitability by offering up select content for no charge.

Detailed bios to give you the scoop on your favorite performers

For every performer on Queer Porn TV, you can find an in-depth bio that includes photos, written interviews, and video interviews. These performers, many of them local to the SF area, have heard the call of the community and have shown up and out in their scenes. The questions asked are more than your basic age, gender, and background questions––they’re inquiring about deeply personal topics centering queer culture.

Queer Porn TV cons

Amateur-only video quality

The video quality found on Queer Porn TV isn’t a downside, but more of a preference. As the site was built on founder Courtney Trouble’s DIY aesthetic, and many of the performers and filmmakers featured on the site lean into the same vibe. So if you only want to view porn that’s shot in HD or 4K, this probably isn’t the site for you.

The site is in need of some updating

Having space where queers can showcase and have access to their work is a great concept. However, in order for it to work to the best of its ability, the site needs to be updated regularly. As it stands, the site’s recent films and interviews are posted somewhat sporadically with dates as far as one month apart and others as close as a week apart. And there are only two videos on the site’s QPTV Free tab, and the link to one of them is broken.

Is Queer Porn TV worth it?

If you’re looking for truly amateur queer porn, absolutely! Queer Porn TV has a library full of kink, lesbian porn, hardcore gay porn, and scenes focusing on the pleasure of nonbinary and trans folk, it couldn’t get more diverse or true-to-life than this.
