Flamboyant sports commentator Deion Sanders, whose remarkable professional football and baseball careers made him one of the most accomplished athletes in American history, can add another line to his remarkable resume: live-tweeter of domestic disturbance.

Sanders, who is unabashedly public about his messy divorce, took to Twitter Monday evening to announce that his wife, Pilar, and her friend attacked him:

“Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I’m pressing charges!” he tweeted at 6:15 pm Eastern Time.

Sanders quickly followed that with two mentions of his children, a tweet, and a picture, which he  later scrubbed from this Twitter account.

“I’m sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys. This is on my mama!” Sanders wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

A quick-thinking Imgur user, however, took a screengrab of Sanders’s Twitter feed before the athlete could delete it. A redditor soon posted to the image to r/NFL:

Apparently Prime Time was telling the truth. Pilar, 38 was arrested that evening on a misdemeanor family violence charge.
