Kyle Marshall isn’t simply a YouTube correspondent. He’s a charter community member. The Alberta, Canada, resident has been making videos since 2008 and to this day will still make upwards of 15 videos in a single week.

His trademark program is his weekly installment of YouTube News, which runs each Tuesday.

This week, Marshall looks at YouTube’s view botting issues and breaks down site co-founder Chad Hurley’s vision for the future of online video.

Why did YouTube purge another 2.5 billion views from Universal Music?
Universal Music Group had 8 billion YouTube views as of December. That figure has plummeted to 582,000 views, with very little available in the way of an explanation.
