Weirdest karaoke set ever mashes up John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and Smash Mouth’s ‘All Star’

Nobody could've predicted it coming out like this.

Smash Mouth‘s “All-Star” really has a way of sneaking up on you. You think you can resist its charm, and for the first verse everything seems to be going fine. You won’t fall for that again, you think. And then the chorus hits and you’re belting out the lyrics, only to be hit with a wave of shame afterward.

When you combine John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Smash Mouth’s “All-Star,” like one man did at karaoke recently, it’s nearly impossible to envision it coming together like this. It’s so wrong, but also, as the crowd demonstrates, so, so right. It’s right up there with the rest of the masterpieces on r/smashups.

“No one even realizes this is the wrong song!” a woman watching the whole thing says.

They probably do, but it’s already too late for them. They’re already singing along.
