You won't believe where he chose to pop the question.

For the most part, when you come across a viral marriage proposal, you know exactly what you’re getting. It doesn’t matter what the setup is: If it’s on YouTube, chances are he or she said yes.

This…is not that.

Joseph decided to propose to his girlfriend at the place of their first date. They had even joked about how it would happen for ages. But their first date was at a McDonald’s, so that joke involved a Chicken McNugget box.

Needless to say, she bursts into tears when she sees the ring on the bun—and not for the reason he hoped. This isn’t a joke, she tells him, and she seems downright horrified when she finds out she’s being secretly recorded.

In the video description, Joseph writes that they’re still dating and that they agreed to wait longer until they got engaged for real. But we hope she’s aware that he put it up on YouTube.
