President Donald Trump said he turned away and thought it was “disgusting” when an elderly man fell off the stage at his Mar-a-Lago resort several years ago, according to a newly released interview he gave with Howard Stern in 2008.

In the interview–only one of such interviews he had with the shock jock that have made headlines in recent days–Trump describes a lavish event he was hosting at the resort where rich people were mingling with Marines.

Soon, Trump said an apparently unpopular “man, about 80 years old–very wealthy man” fell off the stage and began bleeding on the marble floor of Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom.

“So what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died. And you know what I did? I said, ‘Oh my god, that’s disgusting,’ and I turned away,” Trump told Stern. “I couldn’t, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him… he’s bleeding all over the place, I felt terribly, you know, beautiful marble floor, didn’t look so good. It changed color. Became very red.”

As Trump continues to recount the story, he told Stern that the Marines in attendance–who were seated in the “worst table in the whole place”–rushed to help him as his wife was “screaming” and rich people were “turning away.”

“The next day, I forgot to call… to say is he’s ok,” Trump said. “It’s just not my thing… I just don’t like looking at blood.”

Trump is known to be a germaphobe, but this isn’t the first time he’s spoken about people bleeding at Mar-a-Lago.

Earlier this year Trump began a heated war of words with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe. At one point, Trump said Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face lift” during a visit to the Floridia resort, a claim that was later debunked.
