Trump Hollywood Walk of Fame star destroyed with pickaxe

The Hollywood Walk of Fame star honoring President Donald Trump was destroyed with a pickaxe on Tuesday night, according to numerous reports.

Videos of the star show it completely destroyed, with rubble and dust surrounding it.

A reporter for an NBC affiliate in Los Angeles tweeted that police told him a man walked up to Trump’s star with a guitar case, pulled out a pickaxe, and smashed the star.

CNN reports that police were called to the scene around 3:30am PST and a man turned himself in and is being questioned by authorities.

Piers Morgan, a frequent defender of the president, tweeted about the star being destroyed on Wednesday morning and said it would “strengthen” Trump’s support among his base.

“Donald Trump’s star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame destroyed overnight by vandal with a pickaxe. J
Hysterical Trump-hating liberals once again failing to understand that such violent intolerance will strengthen his support, not damage it. Why are they too dumb to realise this?” he wrote.

The president’s Hollywood star is a frequent target of vandalism.

People have spit on it, taken pictures of them flipping it off, written “racist” and “don’t vote!” on it, and even defecated on it.

It isn’t even the first time the Hollywood star has been attacked with a large tool. In late 2016, a man used a sledgehammer to destroy it.
