Right-wing pundit Tomi Lahren is feuding with another prominent Black celebrity on Twitter. She’s previously clashed with Jay-Z, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj—and this week it’s Lizzo, who recently enjoyed eight Grammy nominations.
The feud began after Lizzo, in response to news of President Donald Trump’s impeachment Wednesday evening, tweeted a joke. Retweeting her Sept. 24 statement that merely reads “IMPEACHMENT,” Lizzo wrote: “This aged well.” In response, Lahren made a reference to Lizzo’s No. 1 Billboard hit, “Truth Hurts.”

Within an hour, Lizzo responded. “The only thing that hurts is this country is divided by hatred fueled from people like you,” she wrote. “Why don’t u do better and give ya boy some advice on telling the truth, he’s gonna need it.”

Lahren responded yet again. “Hatred?” The 27-year-old wrote minutes after Lizzo’s tweet was posted. “This whole witch hunt was fueled by hatred from the Left, from those who can’t stand the fact the country is soaring under this president. You don’t have to like or support @realDonaldTrump but win by voting in 2020, not attempting to nullify the 2016 election.”
