Rick Santorum is erasing his criticisms of Mitt Romney for the betterment of the Republican Party, in hopes of creating a united front against President Barack Obama in the fall. It’s a standard move in the era of social media/YouTube elections: Jon Huntsman did it soon after he dropped out. But it appears one video may have escaped the delete button.

While various media outlets reported that Santorum stripped his website and other online properties of anti-Romeny content, a five minute video of Santorum lashing out at the Massachusetts governor over Health Care remains online.

During the clip, from a debate earlier this year and posted on Jan. 26, the two candidates get into a heated debate about government-mandated health care. After reviewing the content of the video—with Santorum endlessly picking apart the Massachusetts healthcare law—it’s clear that this is a video that the Santorum camp must have missed.

That’s because many other of the most scathing anti-Romney videos have all but disappeared from Santorum’s YouTube page. Among the now removed videos, was perhaps Santorum’s most iconic videos, with an actor playing Romney as a mudslinging politican taking aim at the Pennsylvania conservative.

It also appears that Romney has scrubbed some of his commercials that attacked Santorum, including one with footage of the former Pennsylvania Senator throwing his support behind Romney in 2008.

But it isn’t all hugs and kisses between all of the Republican Presidential hopefuls—Santorum’s Facebook page still includes some choice opinions about former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
