At least a few Iranian citizens were excited to see President Barack Obama appear live on Iran‘s state TV for the first time ever.

The president was addressing the world about recent progress in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. Shortly after he concluded his statement, photos of Iranians taking selfies with him on their televisions began appearing on Twitter.

The first tweet appears to say “selfie with Obama,” while the latter says “Obama is with us.”

The president’s statement marked the first time ever that Iranian state TV had carried one of his speeches live.

Obama emphasized in his address that the U.S. and its allies would only ease the crippling sanctions they have imposed on Iran if the country met certain goals outlined in the framework for a deal.
