Many people woke up on Tuesday morning and found Mario Kart trending online.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a new announcement about the game series, or some new character. It was the result of adult film actress Stormy Daniels describing President Donald Trump’s genitalia in her new book, quotes from which were published in the Guardian.

According to Daniels, there was a resemblance between Toad, the mushroom-themed character from Nintendo who is a playable character in Mario Kart.

Mushroom–and Mario Kart–related memes and reactions quickly sprouted across the internet.

And many people were just upset Mario Kart was trending for… unexpected reasons.

This old tweet from Nintendo’s Twitter account also made the rounds on Tuesday.

Judging by today’s reactions online, many people may switch from using Toad when they play the game in the future.
