Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback (R) has slashed essential state services left and right, with decidedly negative results. So when a waitress who was about to work her last shift before quitting found herself serving Brownback’s table, she knew she had to send him a message.
“You guys 911 emergency. It’s my last shift and I am waiting on our governor,” former Boss Hawg’s Barbeque waitress Chloe Hough wrote on Facebook, according to KSNT. “What should I say to him. This is not a test. Go.”
The result—shared by Hough on Facebook and tweeted by a local news reporter—was simple but effective: “Tip the schools.”

“I just knew I had to say something or I would regret it,” Hough told KSNT.
Brownback’s many spending cuts have delighted conservative activists in Kansas and around the country, but they’ve also left the state struggling to pay for basic services.
Hough said that Brownback and his supporters were “robbing Kansas of equal opportunity” with cuts to education and other government programs.
