Glenn Beck supports Black Lives Matter, says Obama made him ‘a better man’

Glenn Beck, a conservative talk-show radio host and former Fox News pundit, had choice words for Donald Trump during a recent New Yorker interview.

“This guy is dangerously unhinged,” said Beck, who once drew widespread criticism for suggesting President Barack Obama was a “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.”

“And, for all the things people have said about me over the years, I should be able to spot Dangerously Unhinged,” Beck added.

“I did a lot of freaking out about Barack Obama,” Beck told the New Yorker, adding that he now regrets calling the president a racis. The New Yorker wrote that he is now a “supporter” of the Black Lives Matter movement, although Beck’s PR team now refutes that claim. Ultimately, Beck said, Obama made him “a better man.”

“There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to,” Beck said. “I had to listen to them.”

This isn’t the first time Beck has shown remorse for his role at Fox News. In 2014, the talk-show host told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that he had “played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart,” adding: “It’s not who we are.”

Update 5:32pm CT, Nov. 7: Beck does not, in fact, support Black Lives Matter, according to his PR team.

The New Yorker has not, however, changed the phrasing of its article, as of this writing.
