Eric Trump thinks critics of his father, President Donald Trump, are “not even people.”
Appearing on far right-wing pundit Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Tuesday night, Trump led off the interview by using a long-favored tactic of his father’s—bashing the media.
“I’ve never seen hatred like this, I mean, to me, they’re not even people,” Trump said. “It’s so, so sad.”
Trump blamed Democrats and the media as the reason that “morals have flown out the window.”
Hannity was sympathetic, saying the “destroy-Trump media” has been trying to delegitimize anyone who represents the president.
Trump also claimed that he was “attacked” by the media, referring to a Forbes report that showed Eric Trump’s charitable foundation had been funneling cash meant for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital into the Donald J. Trump Foundation.
Trump also lamented attacks on his family.
“Honestly, I blame most of these politicians and I blame the media because it’s out of control,” he said. “The way they act are out of control … it’s really the worst of the worst.”
