Donald Trump arose on Sunday morning and typed in a simple, yet heartwarming Easter message on Twitter. Then, the president went on a rant in which he bashed Democrats, Mexico, NAFTA, and DACA.

Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!

All of these topics have long upset Trump, and he’s certainly not shy about producing tweetstorms on any of these issues. But why is he bringing this up on one of Christianity’s holiest days? This might be one clue.
Worth noting that John Kelly did not travel with Trump to Palm Beach for Easter vacation — and, as @costareports & I noted in our piece, his stabilizing forces (Hicks, Cohn, McMaster, Porter) are gone. But Stephen Miller has been with POTUS for the long weekend.
