According to the staff of Wascana Park, the answer is nope. Earlier this week, a large moose decided to take a dip in Wascana Lake in Regina, Saskatchewan, and conservationists had to warn parkgoers against “trying to take a selfie with the moose.”

Most people took that good advice, and snapped photos from a distance.

Then there’s this guy, who decided to canoe right next to the moose. Not the best idea!

This is nice, right? Hooray for frivolous, funny things in the world. Because today is hard. Two black men have been killed by police in the past 48 hours. People are claiming that things have gotten worse, when we have video proof of how bad things have always been.

So between realizing it our responsibility to fix this, to bear witness, to keep fighting against institutional racism, take a deep breath, grab a snack, and look at some moose photos. Everyone needs a break.
