The day has come for the NES Classic’s release, and if you want one, you’ll have to be quick on your feet.

Most retailers have sold out online in minutes, but before you head for the stores, there is still hope. Amazon is releasing “very limited quantities” of the much-wanted NES Classic today at 5 pm EST today. Though it will have more later, the first round is going to go very fast.

If you want to get a close-up look before you make the investment, we’ve unboxed ours already and we thought you might enjoy it.

There’s a reason this adorably compact game system is selling like hotcakes. The HDMI compatibility makes this a worthy upgrade to your childhood system. And at $59.99 for a console, controller, plus 30 games built in, it’s one of the best deals in the gaming market.

One of the complaints we had about the NES Classic is the controller’s short cord, which doesn’t play well in a modern living room. Luckily, Nyko has made its own compatible wireless controller called the MiniBoss, which runs $19.99 and allows you to sit up to 30 feet away from your television when you play. Nyko also makes an extension cord for the controllers if you prefer to simply use the one you have.

Once those come in, you’ll be ready to relive every moment of your childhood spent in glorious 8-bit worlds. Now, to see if you can still survive all 100 levels of Bubble Bobble.
