Millennials aren’t searching for boobs on the internet—but your dad probably still is

We can probably attribute the sag in 'big breast' searches to the long-overdue rise of the butt.

Are boobies the latest victim of the millennials’ preferences? A new study released by Pornhub revealed that millennials are not as interested in boobs as older generations, at least not when it comes to searching for porn. Porn watchers between the ages of 18 to 24 are 19 percent less likely to search for boob-related content than those above 35.

But before we declare a scourge on breasts, let’s put this whole “millennials hate tits” theory into perspective: First of all, boobs are not that popular when it comes to porn searches in general. Only 1.5 percent of Pornhub’s daily searches are specific to breasts. This could be because users are more likely to search categories (milf, hentai, etc.) or ethnicities before they search a specific body part.

The statistic that’s probably most surprising is that men are 32 percent more likely to search for breast-related porn than women. Because we all know women prefer to look at women having sex with women than with men.

But that could be because Pornhub users lean straight dude (20 percent of millennials identify as LGBTQ).  The Daily Dot has reached out to Pornhub to get a breakdown of its users’ demographics on gender, race, and sexuality, but we haven’t heard back as of this posting.

Searches for breasts could also be down because butts are more popular these days. A study from Indiana University released in July shows that the number of both women and men who have engaged in anal sex have increased by almost double since the 1990s.

So boobs might be taking a temporary dip in popularity when it comes to porn, but women’s mammary glands are not going anywhere. They’ll be here, like every other body part, if you so desire to click on them again.
