After 82 years, Lionel and Ellen Buxton know a thing or two about love

The British couple are sharing relationship tips on Twitter.

Living longer than a country’s average life expectancy is pretty special. But when your marriage eclipses that figure, that’s something to tweet about.

And so that’s why Lionel and Ellen Buxton of England, married for 82 years, celebrated Valentine’s Day by answering questions about love. The couple are 99 and 100 years old respectively.

“In recent newspaper reports Lionel and Ellen have been clear about the secret to maintaining a united front: being “good friends” as well as husband and wife,” wrote Shoot It Yourself, a production company that organized the question and answer event. “They share interests (bingo) and support the same football team (Charlton Athletic).”
