Groomsmen dress up as McDonald’s foods for wedding—and the bride is (sorta) lovin’ it

You won me at McFlurry.

By this point, we’ve seen every schmaltzy wedding gimmick to ever flood Pinterest—from a puppy wedding party to copycat Friends proposals. But I’ll hand it to Chen Guanyou from Singapore for not only winning the heart of his bride-to-be, but for also wooing anyone with unapologetically terrible eating habits by dressing his groomsmen as crapstastic McDonald’s foods.

That’s right, he designed and sewed all the favorites—a McFlurry, a Big Mac, a very large fries—and dressed up as Ronald McDonald himself to pick up his bride and her bridesmaids on their wedding day. In Southeast Asia, it is tradition for the groom and his dudes to go to the bride’s house and perform a series of tasks by her party before the wedding.

While the bride, Joanna Tan, looks amused in the video, Chen told Mashable that she actually hates fast food. “She’s very health-conscious,” he said. “So (if) she wants to marry me she has to accept this.”

What an excellent time to remind her you will not compromise in your union! However, it appears Chen is also a good sport, down for the bridesmaids gussying him up, and the costumes were dropped in favor of actual suits for the ceremony. No word on whether McNuggets were served at the reception.
