iPhone meets Kodak moment in Dear Photograph

Dear Photograph melds the old with the new, combining an ephemeral moment captured in a photo of long ago with the present day version of the location where it was captured. Kodachrome meets iPhone in an artistic blend of pure awesome.

Overwhemingly a visual medium, Tumblr has fostered some very inventive ideas for photoblogs. Dear Photograph melds the old with the new  — combining an ephemeral moment captured in a photo of long ago with the present day version of the location where it was captured. Kodachrome meets iPhone in an artistic blend of pure awesome.

With only a few images in Dear Photograph‘s archives, it’s easy to come to the end of the line and be left wanting more — much more. The author of Dear Photograph is open for submissions, asking that you submit your retro-now composition via email. With Father’s Day just around the corner, and a growing number of reblogs on the most recent images, I would be less than shocked to see this site explode over the coming weeks.

Enterprising publishing agents take heed: If you’re looking for your next Tumblr-to-book conversion deal, Dear Photograph is a site to consider.
