Boing Boing’s Xeni Jardin discusses the cost of cancer

Last December, after live-tweeting her first mammogram, Boing Boing Editor Xeni Jardin announced she’d been diagnosed with breast cancer. Ever since, Jardin has been blogging and tweeting about both her own cancer battle and the battles of others.

In Jardin’s first-ever Storify, she recaps a “Twitter conversation” between her and her followers where they shared stories (some of them pretty horrific) about the financial burden caused by cancer, the inadequacies of the current U.S. health-care system, and what might be done about it.
