If you’re an average woman who’s not on the cover of a magazine, you probably have at least a smattering of cellulite. The swimsuit brand swimsuitsforall has released a video to show that even a person who models professionally can have some of those pesky little dimples on their thighs.
Model Denise Bidot appears in the video for the campaign “Beach Body. Not Sorry.” wearing a bikini and a whole lot of confidence. The goal of the campaign is to show women that there are many definitions of having a “beach body.”
“I love everything about my body,” she says in the video. “Every bit of it … the cellulite, the stretch marks, everything that I thought at one point was an imperfection, I now realize is everything that makes me unique … curvy women shouldn’t apologize for anything. They should wear a swimsuit that makes them feel comfortable. It’s all about the confidence.”
Swimsuitsforall received a lot of attention earlier this year for the paid advertorial they had in the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit edition. The ad featured celebrated plus-size model Ashley Graham and the hashtag #curvesinbikinis. Even though the ad was paid for, it was still a bold statement to have the full-figured, size 16 Graham juxtaposed with the waif-like, “normal”-sized models in the magazine.

Graham has been vocal about her desire to eradicate the term “plus-size” from the fashion world’s vocabulary.
“The fashion industry might persist to label me as plus-sized,” Graham said in her TED Talk, “but I like to think of it as my-sized.”
