Teenagers make stupid decisions every hour of every day. But teenagers who have finished with their 12th-grade exams and are looking to party for a week make excruciatingly dumb decisions that could easily kill them.

For some reason, balcony-hopping has become the latest trend for Australians who are partying during Schoolies Week, a country-wide celebration for high school seniors who are set to graduate.

This video released Sunday, taken from Snapchat, was the one to first make waves.

It led to an immediate warning from the Queensland police.

So, how dangerous is balcony-hopping? Here’s one example of what balcony hopping actually looks like, taken from a 2013 YouTube video.

In 2011, a 20-year-old fell to his death while planking on a balcony during Schoolies Week, and a 17-year-old girl was killed in 2012 after a fall from a balcony.

Hopefully, nobody suffers the same fate because they wanted to hop from balcony to balcony instead of using, I don’t know, the hotel’s hallway.
