If you don’t play by the rules, Nintendo will ban you from playing Smash Bros. online, for life.

Users on /r/SmashBros are reporting that they are being banned from playing Smash Bros. on their 3DS for 136 years. There’s speculation as to why this is happening, and some are pointing to faulty coding.

There are ways to avoid getting banned, however. The game punishes you for targeting one player in a group free-for-all match, and for quitting out of a match mid-game.

As of now there’s no solution to get yourself out of the 136-year ban. All players can do is wait for Nintendo to patch and fix the issue.
