There are a lot of familiar faces in the leaked ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 trailer

If there is a highly anticipated teaser for an acclaimed show on its way, it will probably leak. It is known.

The first big teaser for Game of Thrones’s sixth season leaked just hours before it was supposed to premiere on HBO.

Game of Thrones’s promotion has been busy over the past few days. First, the show debuted more than 20 new photos online for fans to obsessively pore over. Then, it announced that a teaser would premiere Feb. 14 at 8:59pm ET, just before the premiere of its new show Vinyl. A 10-second teaser to the teaser soon followed, focusing in on the Hall of Faces in Braavos’s House of Black and White.

But hours before it aired on TV, a poor-quality YouTube video of what appears to be the trailer went online, with the video title in English as well as Russian. It’s likely only a matter of time before HBO has it removed. (A similar leak happened with last year’s first trailer right after a special IMAX screening.)

The trailer doesn’t appear to have any new footage for season 6, but we’re greeted with the familiar and dead faces of Ned Stark, Catelyn Stark, Robb Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, and Jon Snow—though fans will surely argue against that last one into oblivion. Each of them has words of wisdom or warning for those who remain amongst the living, recycled from dialogue spoken from earlier seasons.

“The Long Night is coming—and the dead come with it,” Jon says as the camera focuses in on the faces of six characters we know are definitely very much alive: Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, and Jaime Lannister. Though whether they stay that way is another question entirely.

Winter is coming for them all, indeed.

Update 5:35am CT, Feb. 15: Updated YouTube embed with official trailer.
