What does a cat-crazed blonde pop star have in common with the creator of one of the most successful fantasy series of all time? At first glance, we couldn’t find many similarities either, but after watching “Blank Page,” our minds were blown.

The good folks over at Nerdist decided to bring Taylor Swift and the seven kingdoms a little closer with their latest installment of Nerdist Presents. Thanks to the wit of writer Freddy Scott, Swift’s boy-crazed anthem “Blank Space” is quickly reworked into a ballad about George R.R. Martin’s love of killing off his most beloved characters.

In the accompanying music video, Daenerys Targaryen decides to pay a little visit to Martin’s keep, but as she quickly learns, no one is safe from his mighty pen. Dragons be damned, because this author’s got a blank page and he’s certainly not afraid to write a fan favorite’s name.

While we can’t get enough of this amazing spoof, we have to say it makes a little worried for The Winds of Winter. George, if you’re reading this, please spare the mother of dragons. Our hearts couldn’t take it if she met an untimely death and those little fire breathers became orphans.
