The new Electra Woman and Dyna Girl costumes look super

Badass super-suits are just the start of why this show looks awesome.

The new Electra Woman and Dyna Girl reboot already looks amazing. While the original 1970s TV series is pretty obscure, we doubt that’s going to matter to this version’s target audience. Lead actors Grace Helbig (Electra Woman) and Hannah Hart (Dyna Girl) already have enough YouTube fame to sell the show, and the first few photos of their costumes look totally badass without taking the whole thing too seriously.

Not that we’d expect a superhero webseries starring the creator of “My Drunk Kitchen” to be an angst-fuelled drama, anyway.

The webseries is a reboot from Legendary, modernizing the superhero comedy/pastiche tone of the original. Helbig and Hart are filming in Canada right now, and have already posted a few updates on social media.

The 1970s series saw the spandex-clad crime fighters battle ridiculous supervillains using various electra-named gadgets, such as the Electra Car.

We have no idea who came up with the idea to remake this with Hannah Hart and Grace Helbig, but the casting is kind of perfect. Their comedic styles already work well together without a script, and it doesn’t hurt that they have about 4 million YouTube subscribers between them. This won’t be the most famous or expensive of superhero shows, but it definitely looks like fun.
