Here at the Daily Dot, we have an unofficial tradition of sharing GIF images with each other every morning. Now we’re looping you into the circle. In the Morning GIF, we feature a popular—or just plain cool—GIF we found on Reddit, Canvas, or elsewhere on the Internet.

Super Bowl XLVI offered a lot of GIF-ing opportunities for eager Tumblr and Reddit users. But as compelling as Madonna and M.I.A. were in the halftime show (honorable mention to the contestants in Puppy Bowl) there can be only one Morning GIF:  New York Giants tailback Ahmad Bradshaw planting his butt in history.

To quickly recap: Late in the fourth quarter, despite being told not to score, Bradshaw did what football players are supposed to do and headed for the end zone. Realizing this would give the Patriots a chance to get the ball back to the team’s fabled quarterback Tom Brady, Bradshaw tried to stop himself, failed, and tailboned into the record books, hitting the ground in slow-mo butt-first and promptly keeling over in presumable mortification.

Since Brady and the Patriots failed to make the most of their subsequent opportunity, Bradshaw’s ignominious ass-plant turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.

The moment has been immortalized in roughly 150 YouTube videos, and the in countless GIF animations. On Gifertunities, it’s gotten 56,895 notes so far.
