You spend pretty much half of your day (if not your entire day) glued to a screen. But do you know what goes into making that screen look pretty enough to stare at for 12 hours?

It’s the job of a graphic designer to make site layouts, logos, apps, and all kinds of software components look interesting. Graphic design is a top choice job for a lot of people because it allows you to be creative while still working commercially, instead of opting for the starving artist route. The good news is: graphic design skills can be learned and you don’t necessarily need to be the next Michelangelo to be a talented designer.

If you want to brush up on your skills or just learn how to break into the field, consider checking out the Ultimate Graphic Design Mastery Bundle which is basically a masterclass on the topic.

These are the courses included:

1) Become a Professional Graphic Designer

If you want a general overview of what it’s like to actually work in the field and the kind of day-to-day programs you’ll use, this first course is the perfect introduction. You’ll learn key principles of visual communication and a great insight into the industry. By course’s end, you’ll have a solid understanding of what the job entails and if you think it might be the right profession for you.

2) Typography From A to Z

One of the must lucrative skills in graphic design is typography. Fonts are all around us and someone had to create all of them, right? Imagine being the person who invented Times New Roman. This course aims to teach you typography fundamentals so you can create fabulous text-based logos and designs.

3) Getting Started with Dreamweaver CC

If web design is more your area of interest, this course dives into Dreamweaver step-by-step. Once you get through these 52 lectures, you’ll be able to build a fully functioning web layout and you’ll understand how to set up CSS rules. These skills are valuable because they give you the ability to create sites that stand out from the standard issue Squarespace and Wix templates that overpopulate the Internet.

4) Getting Started with InDesign CC

If you haven’t heard of InDesign, it’s a page layout program used primarily in desktop publishing. You’ll learn how to do things like handle text and text frames, import graphics, and export the layouts for sharing. This course gives you a great introduction to the kind of work you might do if you want to work at a magazine or book publisher.

5) Getting Started with Illustrator CC

Illustrator is a great piece of Adobe software that’s useful for making vector artwork and typography. It can be a little challenging to learn, but with this course, you’ll be able to make precise creative choices and scale your objects with ease.

6) Affinity Designer For Beginners

Affinity Designer is the cheaper alternative to Adobe’s Creative Suite. If you can’t justify breaking the bank on Photoshop or InDesign right now, Affinity Designer might be the tool for you. In this course, you’ll learn a lot of the skills you picked up in the other courses, but you’ll familiarize yourself with Affinity Designer’s interface (and you’ll be able to add another piece of software to your resume).

7) Learn Photoshop CC Essentials

Photoshop is the Adobe program everyone knows and loves. It’s an essential tool whether you’re a graphic designer or even someone who works in non-creative fields because it offers so much flexibility in photo editing. This course is helpful because it’ll show you how to build real projects and you’ll come out of it with a portfolio of work you can share.

Whether you’re a beginner in some of these programs or don’t know anything about graphic design at all, you’ll find something useful in the Ultimate Graphic Design Mastery Bundle — get it for $34 from the Daily Dot store. That’s 93% off the usual price of $565!
