Amazon’s pushing forward with a new addition to its personal assistant line: the Echo Show.

Imagine a smarter version of your Echo with a little screen. If you like video calls but hate holding your phone up to have them, this feature alone will win you over. It offers a way to make and receive calls that you can operate with only your voice. A new feature called “Dropping In” also offers a more casual way to make calls.

Echo Show has eight microphones so it can hear you even if you’re watching a show or playing music. That alone gives it a major edge over its predecessors. It’ll also play video for you, broadcast news, and even act as a monitor for other rooms in the house. Amazon will give you a $100 discount if you buy more than one to make that easier as well (use the code SHOW2PACK at checkout).

With a $229.99 price tag and the ability to work seamlessly with other devices from the Echo family, Echo Show is a pretty appealing device. We have a feeling smarthome devices without screens will soon be a thing of the past.
