The Trump administration continues to have problems with email.
As reported by the Intercept, a White House staffer named Ryan P. McAvoy left his encrypted email and password at a bus station in Washington D.C.

As Gizmodo points out, ProtonMail is a free encrypted email service, and whoever found the email address and password still might not have had the ability to break into the account if its two-factor authentication had been enabled.
It’s also unknown if McAvoy’s account was personal or for business.
But for a Trump administration that, in the leadup to the 2016 presidential election, railed against Hillary Clinton’s sloppy use of email accounts and servers when she was secretary of state, it’s yet another embarrassing slipup.
Since Trump took office, emails have been found that could link the administration to Russia, Donald Trump Jr. released potentially incriminating emails last summer, other administration officials reportedly used personal email for work-related issues, and former Communications Director Hope Hicks said her email account had been hacked.
Now, an Intercept source found McAvoy’s information on a piece of White House stationery and provide it to the website. The website then confirmed the authenticity, though McAvoy, a White House staff assistant, did not respond to requests for comment.
