At his press conference regarding coronavirus today, President Donald Trump’s response to a question regarding the United States’ lack of ample testing has quickly become a viral soundbite.

It’s the kind of quote that will surely attach itself to his administration for quite some time.

The question presented to Trump was in regards to the lack of preparedness the United States faced on coronavirus testing and when testing would be widely available to millions of Americans. Trump neglected to provide an estimated time for the second part of this question.

Immediately after Trump’s answer, the quote began spreading like wildfire on Twitter.

Many were quick to say that Trump himself had summarized the issues of his administration by failing to take responsibility for the shortcomings America is facing while confronting the coronavirus.

“I don’t take responsibility at all” is a distant cry from Trump’s claims of “I alone can fix it. I will restore law and order” during the 2016 election.

In the press conference, Trump also said he wouldn’t need to get tested for coronavirus because he didn’t know the name of the person who was photographed with him and tested positive.

Trump later relented and said he would get tested.
