Hours after GOP frontrunner Herman Cain denied any knowledge of a payoff given to one or more staffers at the National Restaurant Association, NBC’s Chuck Todd reported that he confirmed through independent sources that a pay-off did in fact occur. Naturally, Twitter passed the news along with both incredible speed and a healthy dose of commentary.
