18-year-old arrested after Facebook post about allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in San Bernardino, California, after allegedly stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death and posting about it on Facebook.

Police say Nakiasia James confessed to the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Dorian Powell, 21, in a Facebook post describing a violent domestic confrontation. According to the post attributed to James, Powell was intoxicated and became violent.

The author of the post wrote that Powell had punched her in the face, and that she “…didn’t mean to stabb [sic] him…”

“We was really fightn and I gt [sic] the knife and stabbed him,” the statement said, adding that she “ddnt think I would hurt him BT I did he died.”

According to KTLA, police responded to the domestic call on Monday, Jan. 11, and they discovered Powell fatally wounded. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

James was reportedly apprehended on Sunday after police received a tip concerning her whereabouts.

The San Bernardino Police Department has so far refused comment on the social media posts, citing an ongoing investigation.
