Following a New York Times investigation about corroborated and new sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, people are demanding for his impeachment.

The Times report, released on Saturday, detailed allegations by Kavanaugh’s former classmate at Yale University, Deborah Ramirez.

Ramirez says that at a party, during their freshman year, Kavanaugh exposed his penis to her, “prompting her to swat it away and inadvertently touch it,” according to the Times.

Kavanaugh dismissed the allegation at the time of his nomination, and said if it were true, it would’ve been the “talk of campus.” The Times now alleges that it actually was the talk of campus, as several people knew about it–including Ramirez’s own mother.

The report also includes new allegations by Max Stier, a former male classmate of Kavanaugh, who claims to have seen Kavanaugh at a dorm party forcing his penis–with the help of his friends–into a female student’s hand.

Before his confirmation, Kavanaugh was under investigation by the FBI. Stier was one of the several people who reportedly tried reaching out to the FBI–as well as senators–at the time but was unsuccessful in getting his claim investigated. Ramirez’s legal team also reportedly gave the FBI a list, consisting of at least 25 individuals who possibly had corroborating evidence. Lawmakers who wanted Kavanaugh’s nomination to go through dismissed Ramirez’s allegation at the time, calling it uncorroborated.

Now people are calling the investigation a sham. And many, including 2020 presidential candidate Julián Castro, are demanding Kavanaugh be impeached.

“It’s more clear than ever that Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath. He should be impeached,” Castro tweeted on Saturday.

Others echoed similar sentiments. “So the @nytimes story confirmed Ramirez’ story about Kavanaugh was true AND that both the @FBI and @SenateGOP buried it deliberately to confirm a sexual predator to a lifetime appointment to our nation’s highest court.#ImpeachKavanaugh,” Twitter user @AmoneyResists wrote.

The allegations were first kicked off by Christine Blasey Ford, who said that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school. Blasey Ford shared her story and testified against Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, yet Kavanaugh still made it through.

“Also, for the record: Christine Blasey Ford was enough. She was more than enough, and her testimony should have been the end of it. #ImpeachKavanaugh,” Monica Byrne tweeted.

In addition to being a Supreme Court justice, Kavanaugh is also coaching girls’ basketball.
