Tuesday, Sept. 10 is the Apple iPhone event, otherwise known as the annual unveiling of its new devices. The company is expected to announce the latest successor to the iPhone line, as well as additional software updates for Mac OS and iOS devices. Will there be new Airpods and a new Apple Watch as well? Maybe a next-gen Homepod? Impossible to say for sure, but will be watching the event next week and reporting on all the announcements.

What to expect
Unless something goes very wrong, there will be a new iPhone — most likely, multiple iPhones. Updates for Mac OS and iOS typically roll out this time of year as well. As for what other devices will be announced, there are plenty of rumors; we rounded up some of the best and most exciting. MacWorld also reports that a 16-inch MacBook Pro, tagged object tracker (a Tile competitor), mini Apple TV, and HomePod could also be introduced at the Apple iPhone event.
Where, when, and how to watch
The event is taking place at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters at the Steve Jobs Theater this Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. PDT. There are two ways to watch: You can stream the event from Apple’s event website from a mobile Apple device running iOS 10 or later (and you’ll need to do it from the Safari browser on your device). If you want to watch from your desktop, you need use Safari from a Mac running MacOS Sierra 10.12 or later or a PC running Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge — anything older won’t work. Usually, you can’t use a non-Safari browser to watch the event, but Apple says Chrome and Firefox will be able to stream the event (remember: only on Macs with MacOS Sierra 10.12 or later or on PCs running Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge) as long as the browser you’re using support MSE, H.264, and AAC.
The other option is to circumvent browsers entirely and download Apple’s Events app. It’s available for second-generation Apple TVs (make sure the OS is updated, too).
