A YouTuber who raps about the life of a pimp has been charged with pimping and pandering. Police said he used his social media presence to lure women into a human trafficking ring.

Angel Ortiz Diamond, who goes by the name BenjiBoy Staccs on his YouTube channel, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Anaheim, California, police said he focused his attention on an 18-year-old southern California woman. She’s reportedly not cooperating with the investigation, but her family contacted police on her behalf.

“Take an entourage with him, a lot of money, flashy cars,” Sgt. Daron Wyatt with the Anaheim Police Department told ABC 7, describing Diamond’s alleged methods. “Sidle up to these young, 18-year-old females, lure them in, and then ultimately start prostituting them.”

According to police, Diamond met the 18-year-old at a club and convinced her to run away from her family and live with him.

“Victim is uncooperative—and that’s not unusual in these types of situations, where sometimes they feel like they may be in love with this person,” Wyatt said. “But they’re being exploited.”

Though his YouTube channels have about 100 combined subscribers, Diamond is more popular on Instagram and has close to 37,000 followers on his now-private account. In one of his YouTube music videos, called “Pimp,” he raps, “All I want to do is pimp. Mama knew I was a pimp. Daddy knew I was a pimp. All I want to do is pimp. Pimp, pimp, pimp, pimp.”

Diamond, 31, is being held without bail. Police, meanwhile, are investigating to see if there are other alleged trafficking victims.
