Two of the top-three heavyweights have fought in the last month. Now, it’s Tyson Fury’s turn. And after the shocking upset of Anthony Joshua, you’re not going to want to miss Fury vs. Tom Schwarz, and thanks to ESPN+, there’s an easy way to watch online.

Fury was in deep negotiations with Wilder for a rematch of their heavyweight showdown from last December, but he dropped a huge surprise in February when he announced he had signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank and would be featured on ESPN and ESPN+. That temporarily destroyed the rematch with Wilder, but for Fury, it was probably worth it: He reportedly signed a deal worth nine figures. On Saturday, he’ll make his debut on ESPN+.
Though Fury won’t be seen on ESPN on Saturday, most of the undercard is available on ESPN2, beginning at 7:30pm ET. Matches include rising female star Mikaela Mayer’s showdown with Lizbeth Crespo (here’s our guide for how to watch ESPN2 without cable).

If you are wary of spending $100 a year for DAZN or between $10-15 per month for Showtime, ESPN+ is the cheapest way to consume boxing content. ESPN+ recently halted its free trial, but the service only costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 for the entire year, and you’re also allowed to cancel at any time. Given how much you receive, that’s a considerable deal.
You’ll be able to watch the entire 30 for 30 catalog on-demand, for example, as well as 20 UFC Fight Nights, daily MLB games, every out-of-market MLS game, and thousands of college sporting events.

Fury vs. Schwarz: Why it matters
Perhaps the single most impressive moment of Fury’s career occurred last December. He boxed beautifully versus Deontay Wilder, one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight history, and in my mind, Fury was far ahead on the scorecards. But in the 12th round, Wilder unleashed an amazing combination that would have ended the fight against 99% of boxers.
But not Fury (27-0-1, 19 knockouts). Instead, Fury got to his feet, survived the round, and finished the fight. He was given a draw, but most observers believe Fury did enough to win. Fury’s feat of strength and conditioning to survive the Wilder bombs was incredible.
“I think it was a higher power that brought me to my feet to spread the word on mental health and to help other people,” Fury said this week. “I hope it inspired many people as I enjoyed getting up off that canvas and fighting on. And it takes more than a punch to knock me down and make me stay down.”
After winning the heavyweight championship from Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, Fury missed the next 31 months as he battled drug addiction, an enormous weight gain, and mental health issues. But somehow he’s taken control of his life and returned as a world-class boxer. Now, after signing his huge deal with Top Rank, he’ll be seen on ESPN+
“I box because I like to keep happy and it keeps me happy to fight,” Fury said. “I plan to box until I can’t box anymore. I feel fantastic at the minute. Boxing keeps me really happy, and I’m very happy with where I am in my life at the minute. I want to box on. I don’t see myself retiring. I just turned 30 years old. I’ve got over 10 years left in this game, so you’ll have to keep seeing me for the next 10 years, I’m afraid. Keep entertaining, keep putting on great shows.”
It’s potentially possible for Schwarz (24-0, 16 KOs)—who is an 11/1 betting underdog—to pull off the upset. Fury has been hurt and knocked down multiple times in his career, so if Schwarz has enough power in his punches, he could put Fury in trouble. There’s also always the chance that Fury could be looking past Schwarz and to a potential rematch with Wilder.
“My trainers and I have seen every fight of Tyson’s many times,” Schwarz said. “We’ve analyzed his style and have prepared our best strategy. I have a surprise for Tyson Fury, and he will see what it is on Saturday night.”
