Jim Carrey is perhaps the best example of an actor who rides the thin line of comedy and tragedy since the late, great Robin Williams. In Kidding, his second project with director Michele Gondry since Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Carrey plays a Mr. Rogers-esque television presenter Jeff Pickles, host of Mr. Pickles ‘ Puppet Time.

Pickles both heads a massive branding empire and is dealing with an incredibly difficult family life. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. In fact, like most of Michele Gondry’s work, you’ll feel the full range of emotions before the credits roll. And sometimes, you won’t know how to feel.
