If you’re going to drive faster than 180 mph, it’s probably not a good idea to film yourself with your phone and stream it to anybody who has an internet connection.
But that’s allegedly what YouTuber jussa xlt did last weekend in his video titled “YouTube Troll calls COPS while on Live Feed in Shelby GT350 at 180+ mph!”
Unfortunately for the YouTuber, whose real name is Beau Alan Rogel and who has about 11,000 subscribers, the local police were paying attention. On Monday, the Rankin County (Mississippi) Sheriff’s Office announced it had arrested the 38-year-old Rogel on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and reckless driving.
Calling Rogel a “self-proclaimed YouTube celebrity,” police said he had posted videos of himself breaking “numerous” traffic laws and said he showed “absolutely no respect for the general motoring public.”
In a video posted last Sunday, the narrator, allegedly Rogel, described himself breaking the 100 mph speed barrier before eventually reaching speeds of 185 mph, blowing by other cars, before he eventually hit the brakes.
“It does all right,” the video’s narrator said.
Then, he goes from a full stop to about 160 mph on a two-lane road. Meanwhile, the alleged Rogel is holding his phone while trying to shift gears and film the road in front of him.
“It’s a little bumpy,” the narrator said, “But this car eats it up.”
The police eventually pulled him over, and on his stream, he asked his wife to get “your bail money ready.” He then denied any wrongdoing to the officers. “It’s a performance car,” he said, “I haven’t been hauling ass, though.”
Eventually, the police let him leave and told him if he wanted to drive fast, then he should go to a drag strip.

Rogel wasn’t free for long.
On Monday, the Sheriff’s department revealed that investigators had been provided Facebook screenshots of Rogel possessing numerous weapons. Since Rogel is a convicted felon after being sentenced to six years in prison on a 2009 embezzlement charge, he’s not allowed to own weapons.
“Rogel’s criminal status has not stopped him from possessing weapons, and advertising his possession of weapons and his disregard for the law on social media,” the police wrote in a Facebook post.

Deputies arrived at his home Monday with a search warrant. Rogel wasn’t home, but police arrested his estranged wife, Christina Rogel, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police said Beau Rogel drove up during the dispute and was arrested without incident. The Ford Mustang that Rogel was allegedly driving in the video was also seized by police.
That video has been viewed nearly 140,000 times, and since he was arrested, Rogel has gained about 1,300 subscribers.
In a video posted on Tuesday, Rogel blamed the “troll” who called the police on him. “The people you hurt in this situation … is a woman, a mother of two children,” he said. “That’s the one who got hurt in this situation.”
He also threatened to expose others in the local car scene who Rogel said also regularly drive recklessly.
