Twitch streamer Mang0 has been suspended from the platform for a week after he apparently passed out during a live broadcast. Twitch reportedly informed him via email that it was temporarily banning him from the platform because of “dangerous consumption of alcohol and drugs.”

That made Mang0, whose real name is Joseph Marquez, laugh on his Twitter account.

To clarify, Marquez—who was cited by Kotaku as one of the “five gods” of Super Smash Bros. Melee and who has nearly 230,000 followers—said he didn’t pass out while watching the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chicago Bears in an NFL playoff game last weekend. On Twitter, he wrote, “I jokingly fell over to be funny because I wanted to take a break.. Went downstairs to talk to my gf and came back and ended my stream Drank a lot I knowwwwwww.”

In its community guidelines under the section of “self-destructive behavior,” Twitch advises, “Any activity that may endanger your life or lead to your physical harm is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: suicide threats, intentional physical trauma, illegal use of drugs, illegal or dangerous consumption of alcohol, and dangerous or distracted driving.”

Here’s the moment Twitch apparently cited for suspending him.

Since he can’t stream himself gaming, Marquez has been tweeting how he’s been spending his punishment time. It includes eating McDonald’s and too many hot Cheetos, and after his dogs woke him up, “my stomach really hurts now.” He also seems to be confused about his personal hygiene.

Through it all, Marquez remains defiant in the face of Twitch’s judgment.

It’s another high-profile punishment made by Twitch recently. Lucia Omnomnom was banned for three days after accidentally streaming herself topless, and Etole11’s channel disappeared after he appeared to be receiving oral sex while he was broadcasting live.

Citing respect for the privacy of its users, Twitch does not comment on terms of service violations.
