After a photo showing a nude woman’s feet floated around Reddit with the assertion it was of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a foot fetishist helpfully proved the image isn’t of the Congresswoman.
The image shows a woman’s legs and feet in a bathtub from her point of view; the woman’s reflection, including nude breasts, can be seen in the faucet. Motherboard reports that it was posted to r/Drama over the weekend with overlaid text reading “alexandria ocasio-cortez.instagram.post.9-3-2016.”
Many were already dubious that the photo, which has circulated on Reddit and other forums before, was of Ocasio-Cortez. But one user who’s a regular on foot-fetish website Wikifeet was able to provide additional expertise.
“I’m a contributor to wikifeet and even I have never seen a second toe like that!” the user, jokes_on_you, commented on the post in r/Drama. The same user posted a photo known to be of Ocasio-Cortez’s feet as proof.
“I’ve sucked enough toes in my life to recognize when something doesn’t look right,” jokes_on_you told Motherboard.
The instinct was right. Motherboard’s investigation revealed that the photo is actually of Sydney Leathers, a cam model and activist known for going public with sexts from Anthony Weiner.
“That pic is a few years old and now reaffirms my current stance of no longer posting feet pics unless dudes pay me for it,” Leathers told Motherboard.
Update 9:47am CT, Jan. 10: On Twitter, Ocasio-Cortez responded to the story, saying “For those out of the loop, Republicans began to circulate a fake nude photo of me. The @DailyCaller reposted it (!) and refused to indicate it was fake in the title as well.
