'A beautiful song during one of the most difficult times for our Star Trek family.'

The debut of Rihanna's song "Sledgehammer" in the trailer for Star Trek Beyond ended up touching stars Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto in an unexpected way.

After co-star Anton Yelchin's tragic death last week, the ballad—the lyrics include "You just don't let up, don't let up/You're taken over the beat of my body/But you lift me up, lift me up/If you take my pulse right now/It would feel just like a sledgehammer"—seemed to resonate deeply with the actors.

Both took to Instagram to thank Rihanna for the track and reflect on their recent loss.

"After such an unimaginably sad week for our Star Trek family—[Rihanna] brings some light into the darkness," Quinto wrote in a caption.

Saldana mirrored his sentiments in her own post.
