Beyoncé has become an odd point of contention for Donald Trump’s campaign, but it turns out the GOP presidential candidate doesn’t even know how to pronounce her name.
Speaking in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Monday, Trump continued to oddly rail against Jay Z and Beyoncé over their “bad language,” only he stumbled significantly in the process. As Pitchfork notes, what he says sounds more like “bee-yon-see.”

This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has been targeted by the conservative right. Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani criticized her Super Bowl performance, and Trump surrogate Betsy McCaughey criticized Clinton for supporting Bey in light of some of her NSFW lyrics.
The attacks have escalated in recent days in proportion to Jay Z and Beyoncé’s vocal support of Clinton. Beyoncé stopped a recent show to encourage people to vote, and the two headlined a recent Clinton rally in Cleveland, Ohio.
This morning, the couple unveiled a powerful new video on Tidal to encourage people to get out and vote.
