Leeloo took eight months to settle in to her new apartment.

When Leeloo the cat moved into her new apartment last year she figured she’d have it all set up in a month.  Now eight months later and Leeloo has finally gotten the place to a point where she feels fully at home.

“The problem was the hardwoods,” said friend and former roommate Misty Singler.  ”Leeloo had never had hardwood flooring before, and she had no idea how cold it can get in the morning.  So she decided to get a bunch of area rugs.  Unfortunately, it was damn near impossible to find rugs she liked that were in her price range; so it has taken her awhile.”

The kitten purchased the final rug for her apartment last weekend — a soft, white shag from Crate & Barrel — and it was delivered today.

“She couldn’t be happier,” confirmed Singler.
