Jay-Z's "99 Problems" doesn't sound that bad in a soprano.

Ariana Grande is the star of Nickelodeon’s new comedy, Sam & Cat. She had a summer hit with “Baby I,” and her debut album was just released. Her social media fanbase is legion, and her “Arianators” could be the next Beliebers. The 20-year-old star is about to break big.

She’s been making the talk show rounds lately and stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night to rework some rap songs. With Fallon on piano, Jay-Z’s “99 Problems,” Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Brain,” and Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” all get the Broadway treatment, and the latter song actually sounds like it could be a big-production number. Well, minus the extended beep at the end.

As Grande transitions from teen star to pop star, dropping an f-bomb seems like the perfect move.
