Last week, A Tribe Called Quest debuted its final album and performed single “We the People” on Saturday Night Live. Now we have the video for the powerful song, which tackles issues of gentrification, racism, and sexism.

Phife Dawg, an original member of the group who passed away earlier this year, is featured in verse and mural. He watches from the side of a building as a protest grows in scope and urgency below.

Last night, Q-Tip appeared on The Daily Show to discuss the politics of the song, and the people it addresses.
